Ironman Evolved: More Goals, Better Rewards, and a Reason for Every Adventure

An armoured Ironman adventurer studies a journal beside a contract board overlooking a fantasy valley.

Your first boss kill should feel special. A duplicate drop should still be useful. And whether you are building your first supply stack or pushing for a faster Vorkath kill, there should always be something worth working towards.

Our Ironman update brings all of that together: a progression journal, repeatable contracts, weekly expeditions, boss medals, shared group projects, and a searchable duplicate exchange. The rewards support your next adventure, with supply crates you can tailor to your account.

Start with ::ironman. The Ironman hub connects you to the journal, contracts, boss milestones, weekly expedition, trophy collection, duplicate recycling, and personal challenges.

A journal that grows with your account

The progression journal offers 30 goals across Early game, Midgame, and Bossing. Each goal includes progress and guidance to help you decide what to do next. Build your gathering skills, prepare food and potions, develop your combat styles, and work towards boss encounters already available on the server.

Goals within a stage can be completed in any order. The journal checks saved levels and personal kill counts, so existing progress towards those requirements counts too. You do not need to repeat a first-kill goal if your saved kill count already meets it.

Finish every goal in a stage to unlock its reward. You will receive a completion notification reminding you to claim it.

Journal stage Supply crates Point boxes Donator mystery boxes (u)
Early game 2 3 1
Midgame 3 5 2
Bossing 5 10 3

Each stage reward can be claimed once per account. Open ::ironjournal, select Claim stage reward, and choose your supply-crate type. Completing the Early game journal also unlocks remote potion decanting through Ironman hub → More.

40 contracts: choose what you enjoy

The contract board gives you repeatable objectives across 14 skilling contracts, 11 Slayer contracts, and 15 boss contracts. Choose a task that fits your current equipment, supplies, or next upgrade.

  • Skilling: earn 10,000 XP in a supported skill, including Fishing, Mining, Herblore, Farming, Agility, and more.
  • Slayer: complete three regular assignments or choose a monster hunt, such as bloodvelds, gargoyles, abyssal demons, or skeletal wyverns. Monster-hunt contracts do not require an active Slayer assignment for those kills.
  • Bossing: take on encounters such as Sarachnis, the Dagannoth Kings, God Wars bosses, Zulrah, Cerberus, and Vorkath. Required kills vary by contract.

Open ::ironcontracts, choose a category, read the objective, and accept. You can have one active contract; only work after acceptance counts. Progress is saved, and skilling contracts continue counting at the XP cap.

Each completed contract rewards one supply crate of your choice. Preview its contents before claiming, then take another contract whenever you are ready. Cancelling a contract discards its progress.

Supplies that match your next trip

Four illustrated supply crates labelled Food, Potion, Rune, and Balanced.
Choose your supply type when claiming. Artwork is illustrative; exact contents are listed below.

Need food for a longer trip? Potions for a boss grind? Runes for Magic? Choose the crate that helps you most. The crate keeps the type you selected when you claim it.

Crate Contents per crate
Food 600 sharks and 400 cooked karambwans.
Potion 100 prayer potions, 100 super restores, 50 Saradomin brews, 40 super combat potions, 40 ranging potions, and 40 antidote++.
Rune 6,000 chaos runes, 3,000 death runes, and 3,000 blood runes.
Balanced 250 sharks, 100 cooked karambwans, 50 prayer potions, 50 super restores, 25 Saradomin brews, 20 super combat potions, 20 ranging potions, 20 antidote++, 2,000 chaos runes, 1,000 death runes, and 1,000 blood runes.

Food and potions arrive noted, and potions are four-dose. Keep enough inventory space for your reward bundle and for opening your crates.

Boss milestones: make every first kill count

Each of the 15 supported contract bosses has milestones at 1, 10, 25, and 100 kills. That gives you 60 boss medals to collect, with one selectable supply crate per milestone.

Visit Ironman hub → Boss milestones to view kill counts, check your goals, and claim rewards. Existing recorded kills count towards these milestones. Every milestone reward is claimed once, and reaching a new milestone sends a reminder.

Supported bosses are Sarachnis, Zulrah, Dagannoth Rex, Dagannoth Prime, Dagannoth Supreme, Giant Mole, King Black Dragon, General Graardor, Kree’arra, Commander Zilyana, K’ril Tsutsaroth, Kraken, Cerberus, Vorkath, and Thermonuclear Smoke Devil.

Weekly expeditions built for a full week

Weekly expeditions combine skilling, regular Slayer assignments, and boss kills into eight objectives completed in order. Three themed routes rotate, changing the skills and encounters involved.

Each route includes:

  • Three skilling objectives requiring 1,000,000, 1,500,000, and 2,000,000 XP.
  • Two Slayer objectives requiring 10 and 15 regular assignments.
  • Three boss objectives requiring 50, 75, and 100 kills.

For example, one route takes you through Fishing, Cooking, Slayer, Sarachnis, Herblore, more Slayer, Dagannoth Rex, and Zulrah. Only the current objective advances, so check your next step before starting a long session.

Complete the expedition to earn eight supply crates of your chosen type. The weekly route resets Monday at 00:00 UTC; unfinished progress resets with it, while completed but unclaimed reward bundles carry over. Open Ironman hub → Weekly expedition to view objectives or claim.

Personal boss challenges: earn your medals

Ready to push beyond kill counts? Select a personal challenge for Zulrah or Vorkath and finish a new encounter under its time limit.

Medal Zulrah Vorkath Reward for each challenge
Bronze Under 45 seconds Under 90 seconds 2 supply crates + 1 point box
Silver Under 35 seconds Under 75 seconds 4 supply crates + 2 point boxes
Gold Under 25 seconds Under 54 seconds 6 supply crates + 3 point boxes + 1 donator mystery box (u)

Go to Ironman hub → More → Challenges and projects → Personal boss challenges. Select the challenge before starting a new encounter. Only the selected challenge is active; a fast kill does not automatically award every medal. Retry as often as you like, then return to claim after earning the medal. Each of the six challenge rewards is available once.

Group Ironman projects: everyone has a role

Your team can now work towards Foundation, Expansion, and Mastery projects. Skillers, Slayer fans, and boss hunters contribute towards shared totals, while personal requirements ensure that rewarded members have helped.

Project Shared skilling XP Slayer assignments Boss kills
Foundation 3,000,000 15 75
Expansion 10,000,000 50 250
Mastery 25,000,000 125 600

The group must finish all three shared goals. Each claiming member must also meet one of that tier’s personal requirements:

Project Personal requirement: any one Reward per qualifying member
Foundation 500,000 skilling XP OR 3 Slayer assignments OR 15 boss kills 3 supply crates + 2 point boxes
Expansion 2,000,000 skilling XP OR 10 Slayer assignments OR 50 boss kills 6 supply crates + 4 point boxes + 1 donator mystery box (u)
Mastery 5,000,000 skilling XP OR 25 Slayer assignments OR 120 boss kills 10 supply crates + 8 point boxes + 2 donator mystery boxes (u)

At least two current members must meet the personal requirement. Contributions are cumulative across tiers, use supported contract skills and bosses, and count activity recorded by the project system rather than your historical account totals. No supplies or equipment are consumed.

Only current members’ contributions count towards the group total. Leaving removes your contribution from that total. Each tier reward is once per account, even if you change teams.

The redesigned Group Ironman Hub has three tabs: Leaderboard for team rankings and activity, My group for members and management, and Group projects for tier goals, personal progress, and rewards. Foundation, Expansion, and Mastery each have their own view.

Turn spare boss drops into useful supplies

The duplicate exchange replaces long item-selection dialogues with a searchable catalogue, inventory grid, selection basket, and confirmation step. Supported drops have individual token values based on their rarity; check the catalogue for the items and values currently available.

  1. Open Ironman hub → More → Duplicate recycling → Open duplicate exchange.
  2. Search by item or boss name and select supported duplicates from your inventory.
  3. Review the basket and token total. Remove selections if you change your mind.
  4. Press Exchange, review the selection, then Confirm to complete it.

Keep-one protection is always enabled. The exchange checks your inventory, bank, and equipped items for another plain copy of the same item. For example, you can exchange an inventory ring if a matching plain ring is already in your bank or equipped.

Only selected inventory items are consumed. Noted, modified, or attributed items do not qualify as plain copies, and different item variants are not interchangeable for this protection. Keep-one is checked again when you confirm.

Spend five supply tokens on one food, potion, rune, or balanced supply crate through the duplicate-recycling menu. Your next unwanted duplicate can help fund your next boss trip.

Your achievements, in one place

The trophy collection brings together journal completion, claimed boss medals, personal challenge medals, group-project claims, weekly expedition completions, recycling totals, and available rewards.

We have also refreshed the presentation: spaced sections, shorter labels, clearer progress, and visible dialogue feedback for objectives and unavailable actions. Contract crate previews now appear in dialogue pages instead of being hidden in chat behind the menu.
